The Neighborhood Shuffle Showdown is back!
Neighborhoods from across St. Petersburg are coming together for an afternoon of shuffleboard, community pride, music, food, and friendly competition at the historic St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club.
You do not need any shuffleboard experience to participate. Bring your neighbors, form a team, learn the game, and help your neighborhood compete for the Mae Hall Trophy.
While one neighborhood will be crowned champion, the real goal is simple: bring neighbors together, build new relationships, and have some fun.

Everyone Can Be Part of the Showdown
This is not a traditional tournament where each neighborhood sends only one team.
Participating neighborhoods can bring as many residents as they would like. During open play, neighborhoods can have multiple two-person teams competing on different courts at the same time.
You can:

Meet residents and neighborhood leaders from across St. Petersburg

Come simply to socialize and enjoy the afternoon
Whether you are an experienced player or have never held a shuffleboard cue, there is a place for you at the Showdown.
How the Showdown Works
Event Schedule
How Neighborhoods Can Prepare
You do not have to be a shuffleboard expert or organize a formal team months in advance. The best preparation is simply getting your neighbors excited and making it easy for them to participate.

Choose a Neighborhood Captain
Your captain will serve as the primary event-day contact.
The captain should:

Arrive early for check-in

Help residents find their neighborhood

Encourage players to form teams

Make sure game cards are completed and returned

Communicate with tournament volunteers

Select two Final Four players if the neighborhood advances

Spread the Word
Invite everyone in your neighborhood—not only association members or experienced players.

Host a Practice Night With Shuffle Bucks
Want to help your neighbors learn the game before the Showdown? Host a neighborhood outing at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club.
CONA has a limited supply of complimentary Shuffle Bucks that neighborhood associations can request for a pre-Showdown gathering. These passes can help residents visit the club, learn how to play, practice together, recruit players, and build neighborhood spirit.
Instruction and shuffleboard equipment are available at the club during public open hours.
